A smart casual navy blue cotton canvas jacket for men by French label Saint James. A great quality single breasted garment, straight cut with two large front pockets, a small one on the chest and a small internal one, unlined, buttoned up, collar, with the label embroidered on the inside back and one small label tag sewn on the left pocket.
Very well made. Perfect for the seaside and just as suitable for a urban relaxed look, if you are after a French work or chore jacket type.
100% cotton canvas, machine washable, the navy blue is a dark navy.

Important point: the manufacturer made some changes to the design late 2019. The overall design has been simplified, shortened in body length and the sleeve length has slightly been adjusted too. The small internal pocket is now on the chest with the threads showing through, on the same level as the small external pocket.
If you are replacing your old jacket (prior to 2019), it is imperative that you button up your jacket and measure pit to pit x 2, to compare with our garment's measurements below to assess which new size is the closest. Check as well the length as it was shortened with the 2020 production.

Chore jackets seem to be very fashionable at the moment - almost a compelling reason to avoid buying them - but I needed a casual, smart jacket for working in the garden in Spring and Autumn but also something that I could wear when going out. The St. James jacket, which features a pleasantly soft fabric and is nicely sewn fits the bill. As a tall person it is often difficult to get quality clothes with a decent body and sleeve length. Used the size chart before ordering. This XXXL chore jacket is a perfect fit. It feels good, looks well made and hopefully will last a long time as it wears in. But this is the one! I've been looking for a chore style jacket for some time now. The ones I've found seem either too fussy, too cheap or too bedecked with labels! This one by Saint James is just about perfect. I've known the brand for years (there's a rather holey Breton t-shirt in my wardrobe that my wife keeps threatening to throw away, but it has done the Channel a few times!), and have been very impressed with the quality. It's great to find a UK company that provides access to these wonderful brands and I'm sure that this will not be my first visit! Great service, great products and super fast delivery.
