You cannot be more authentic than this women's striped Breton top made by an authentic Breton manufacturer, the very few left still producing in Brittany, France. This so famous shirt, which is known as "La Marinière" in France, has been the favourite of many artists and celebs for decades right to this day. A heavy weight boat neck shirt with long sleeves made of high quality cotton and offered here in traditional white and navy blue colours with a signature branding on one arm.

Please note this is a heavyweight cotton shirt. The cotton would be best described as a carded type, hard wearing and ideal for outdoor activities like sailing. If you are after a thick yet softer jersey cotton, we advise to look at this great alternative Breton top.

A word of warning if you purchased a similar Le Minor garment more than 10 years ago: beware, the cut might have changed and was most certainly a drop shoulder style. The sizing was probably a unisex one which would be a men's equivalent in today's design.
